What You'll Do

As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice, you will:

Support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Plan and deliver fun, engaging activities that promote children's learning through play.
Help provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children.
Assist with daily care routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and personal care where appropriate.
Observe, monitor, and record children's progress and contribute to learning journals.
Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures at all times.
Attend training, including Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid, and complete all apprenticeship coursework.
Work as part of a friendly and supportive team while developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for a successful career in early years education.

This role is subject to safer recruitment procedures. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide suitable references before employment can commence.

Training Outcome

Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. This can lead to increased responsibilities within the nursery and provide a pathway towards senior practitioner, room leader, or other leadership roles within the early years sector.
