Full Job Description

  • Updating the payroll system of contractual staffing changes, monthly payroll amendments and staff absence.
  • Administration for the recruitment processes, including preparing, publishing job adverts and compliance checks
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and databases
  • First point of call for handling staff queries
  • Assisting with reporting, audits, and policy implementation
  • General administrative duties including preparation of employment letters and contracts.
  • Supporting and contributing towards general HR & Payroll department activities as required.

    We are a values-driven Multi-Academy Trust committed to delivering excellence in education. We're looking to appoint a reliable and detail-focused HR & Payroll Administrator to join our well-established team.
  • You will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR and payroll administration across the Trust, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance at all times. Your role will support the employee lifecycle-from onboarding to payroll processing and leaver administration. Based within our busy central team, you will already have administrative experience with excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail. You will be able to work calmly under pressure, demonstrate flexibility, initiative and a proactive approach and have successfully managed a varied workload. The ability to handle confidential data in a professional manner is paramount. You will have strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft teams, specific systems training will be provided. The successful candidate will possess a positive can-do attitude with the ability to provide excellent customer service and who is keen to develop their HR & Payroll skillset. Experience of working within an education environment is useful but not essential.
