About this Role

Arnold Hill Spencer Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our experienced and supportive Learning Support Team on a full time, permanent basis.

This role is a key part of our Inclusion Team and offers a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, including autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as challenges in literacy and numeracy.

We particularly welcome applicants with experience in areas such as exam access arrangements, mentoring or coaching, a background in sport, or strong subject knowledge in Maths, Science, or English. Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach are essential, as the role requires adapting to the evolving needs of our students.

In return, you will join a forward thinking, dynamic, and welcoming team that values collaboration, sets high expectations, and is committed to making a positive and lasting impact.

Arnold Hill Spencer Academy is a truly special place to learn and work. In June 2025, Ofsted rated the academy 'Good' in all areas and 'Outstanding' for Post-16 provision. Our August GCSE results exceeded national averages for both attainment and progress, reflecting the dedication of our staff and the ambition of our students.

We are proud of our young people, whose behaviour, achievements, and character shine every day. Guided by our community ethos - "Be inspired and achieve together" - we provide daily opportunities for success, growth, and collaboration. Respect, responsibility, and independence are at the heart of our values, helping students to mature into confident, capable individuals. At Arnold Hill Spencer Academy, we believe in the potential of every student and nurture it within a caring, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Early application is strongly encouraged as we reserve the right to interview and close the advert ahead of the closing date.

The Trust and its member academies are committed to promoting equality and diversity in both employment and education provision. We aim to ensure that students, parents, governors, employees, contractors, partners, clients and other stakeholders within the Trust community are treated fairly, and with dignity and respect regardless of Protected Characteristics.
