We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join HOBART UK and HOBART Service on a full-time, fixed-term contract. This is a key role responsible for shaping and delivering a fit-for-purpose Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) strategy across the business.

Developing, implementing and continuously improving the Health & Safety Management System
Ensuring full compliance with UK H&S legislation and industry best practice
Maintaining and improving ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, aligned within the ISO 9001 framework
Leading audits, inspections and assurance programmes across the business
Measuring, analysing and reporting HSE performance against internal and external benchmarks
Championing a Safety-First culture across all departments
Advising on safe systems of work, risk assessments and method statements
Supporting and delivering HSE training, inductions, toolbox talks and incident investigations
Acting as the primary HSE contact for regulators, local authorities and insurers
Representing HOBART UK at ITW EU divisional and governance forums
Supporting contractor schemes, external accreditations and commercial submissions
Managing HSE eLearning platforms and compliance tracking
Conducting site visits, audits and training activities as required
A degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health or a related discipline
NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Level 6 Diploma in OSH Leadership
Proven H&S experience within manufacturing, engineering or similar environments
Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify hazards and implement controls
Confident communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
A full UK driving licence
Experience with permitting processes (advantageous)

Strong planning, data analysis and problem-solving skills
Confidence leading change and influencing senior stakeholders
Collaborative, approachable and professional
