At Implants International, you'll learn how to finish and prepare highly precise medical implants to an exceptionally high standard. This is hands-on engineering where accuracy, patience and attention to detail really matter.

You'll be trained by experienced colleagues and develop specialist practical skills that you can build into a long-term career.

What will you actually be doing?

As a Fitter/Polisher Apprentice, you'll learn how to work with small, highly precise components and turn them into finished products ready for the next stage of production.

Your training will include:

Polishing:

Learn how to use vacuum blast machines safely and effectively
Understand how different air pressures affect different products
Learn about different types of blasting media and how they create different surface finishes
Develop the patience and precision needed to achieve a consistently high-quality finish

Fitting:

Learn to safely use pneumatic hand tools and grinders
Understand different abrasives, wheels, belts and consumables and when to use them
Learn how to use precision measuring equipment, including digital verniers
Use shadowgraphs to inspect and check components
Develop the ability to spot even the smallest imperfections

Training Outcome
