The Post

Prince Henry's is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our successful and supportive English Department. This post is offered as maternity cover on a fixed-term basis, and we welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs). There may be the potential for a permanent position within the department following the maternity cover period.

The successful candidate will be committed to the highest standards of academic achievement and behaviour and will genuinely enjoy working with young people of all abilities. The department has a strong track record of success and works collaboratively to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that develop students' literacy, analytical skills and love of literature.

At Prince Henry's High School, our aim is to inspire a lifelong appreciation of language and literature, enabling students to become confident readers, writers and communicators. Through the study of a wide range of texts, students develop critical thinking skills, cultural awareness and the ability to express ideas clearly and creatively.
