Preferred
NVQ Level 2 or significant experience in a repairs and maintenance discipline
Fire warden or marshal training or a willingness to learn
COSHH regulations or a willingness to learn
Moving/Handling and Working at Height or a willingness to learn
PAT Testing or willingness to learn
Pool Emergency Response or willingness to learn
Experience in maintenance and repairs role
Effective use of basic ICT packages
Working knowledge of relevant policies/ codes of practice/ legislation
Experience as cleaner, janitor or maintenance person in a school or college or similar environment
To participate in a rota including evenings and weekend working
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience in decorating and minor repairs
