Full Job Description
You'll be joining our committed team, working to provide our 4 residents with personalised, high-quality support. Your day-to-day tasks will vary, but will include:
- Delivering high-quality personal care, ensuring dignity and respect are always maintained.
- Assisting residents in developing independence and achieving their goals.
- Creating engaging activities and supporting participation.
- Contributing to a positive and supportive home environment.
- Working as a team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
We maintain staffing ratios of 1:2 for night shifts and either 1:1 or 2:1 for day shifts, depending on the resident's needs. With just four permanent residents, you'll quickly get to know everyone in our small home and team., We're passionate about supporting our staff just as much as we are about supporting our service users. When you join our team, you can expect:
- A Real Living Wage.
- Paid leave, starting at 28 days per annum (pro rata) and increasing to a maximum of 33 days per annum (pro rata) with length of service.
- A fully funded DBS check and update service to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Access valuable resources including an employee assistance program to support your mental and emotional health.
Are caring and compassionate, with an understanding of person-centred care.
- Possess excellent communication skills (experience with non-verbal communication such as Makaton, BSL, or PECS is advantageous, but not essential).
- Ideally have experience supporting people with learning disabilities in a residential setting (other relevant experience is also welcome).
- Are flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing needs.
- Understand safeguarding and risk assessments.
