Full Job Description

We maintain staffing ratios of 1:2 for night shifts and either 1:1 or 2:1 for day shifts, depending on the resident's needs. With just four permanent residents, you'll quickly get to know everyone in our small home and team., We're passionate about supporting our staff just as much as we are about supporting our service users. Are caring and compassionate, with an understanding of person-centred care.
- Possess excellent communication skills (experience with non-verbal communication such as Makaton, BSL, or PECS is advantageous, but not essential).
- Ideally have experience supporting people with learning disabilities in a residential setting (other relevant experience is also welcome).
- Are flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing needs.
- Understand safeguarding and risk assessments.

We want to ensure a great work-life balance, so we offer a fixed shift pattern at Sesame in a rolling 2-week pattern, to allow you to plan ahead. There are 2 different shift patterns available - please indicate which you are applying for in your application:
Vacancy 1: 30 hours (on average) per week - £19,656.00 - £19,890.00 per annum
W1 (24 hours): Monday 08.00-14.00, Wednesday 08.00-14.00 and Saturday 08.00-20.00.
W2 (36 hours): Monday 10.00-16.00, Tuesday 08.00-14.00, Wednesday 08.00-14.00, Thursday 08.00-14.00 and Sunday 08.00-20.00.
Vacancy 2: 21 hours (on average) per week - £13,759.20 - £13,923.00 per annum
W1 (18 hours): Monday 10.00-16.00 and Saturday 08.00-20.00.
W2 (24 hours): Monday 08.00-14.00, Wednesday 10.00-16.00 and Friday 08.00-20.00.
