Further Information

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated site supervisor to join our school team at the WISE Academies. We are looking for someone who wants to help us create an outstanding environment inside and out for our children and staff.

If you are proactive, consistent, willing to work hard, a team player and care about keeping children safe and secure, then this job could be a great opportunity for you. We can offer you a 'happy place to learn and work' with fully supportive staff within school and across the Multi Academy Trust, Wise Academies.

Adderlane Academy is a unique, friendly, hard working and family orientated school in the busy town of Prudhoe, Northumberland. At Adderlane we endeavour to look after the children and staff within the setting to ensure that they have everything they need to succeed. This may be resources, additional help, strong relationships with adults and a rigorous PSHE curriculum and Wellbeing package. We ensure we provide pupils with memorable first hand experiences. We focus particularly on developing the oracy skills of our pupils, by providing rich relevant vocabulary and appropriate stem sentences. We use strategies to ensure children remember more and enjoy learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be trustworthy, self-motivated, and able to work alone, prioritising tasks.
  • Be organised and able to keep the relevant areas of the school cleaned to a high standard.
  • Have good general skills and a willingness to work proactively to keep the school site safe and clean.
  • Be able to liaise positively with cleaning and other services.
  • Have an understanding of health and safety regulations and fire safety procedures.
  • Be willing to develop skills pertinent to the role and be proactive in identifying training needs.

We can offer:

  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic and passionate team, in the Academy and as part of WISE Trust.
  • Exceptionally enthusiastic children and families who love WISE Academy.
  • Competitive Salary.
  • Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • 25 days annual leave rising to 28 after 5 years.
  • Excellent wellbeing package including GP appointments, physiotherapy, counselling and support networks.
  • Excellent training and peer support.
  • A creative environment that supports and enhances our vision and inclusive ethos.
  • An attractive and well-resourced school in the heart of its community.
  • A commitment to managing staff workload and well-being at all times.
  • Ongoing commitment to your professional development.

WISE Academies safeguards and protects its students and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with Local Safeguarding Board Procedures.

The Trust is committed to safer recruitment and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service clearance. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure Barring Services.

The Trust is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from as diverse a group as possible.

WISE Academies will also consider carrying out an online search for all candidates to help identify any potential issues that are publicly available online.
