Full Job Description

  • This position will be based at St. John's CE, Thornham but may from time to time require travel as necessary to collaborate with other schools which are all locally based.

    We are looking to appoint a skilled, confident, and caring HLTA to join our team at St John's Thornham school from September 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive team in a growing school. The role includes:
  • Delivering high-quality lessons across the school during teacher PPA time (planning provided).
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children in all year groups.
  • Using effective, trauma-informed behaviour strategies to support individuals and classes.
  • Working as part of our developing approach to nurture, inclusion, and emotional regulation.
  • Being a calm, consistent presence across the school - especially for children who need it most.
