As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the Science Department by preparing resources, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and well-organised learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and students, contributing to the smooth running of practical lessons and helping to foster a love of science.,

Maintain, store, and safely dispose of materials and chemicals in line with health and safety regulations
Support teachers and students during practical lessons, providing guidance on the safe and effective use of equipment
Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs of science equipment
Monitor and manage stock levels, order resources as required, and maintain accurate inventories
Ensure laboratories and preparation rooms are kept tidy, safe, and well organised
Support the implementation of health and safety policies and complete relevant risk assessments
Perform duties and attend meetings as reasonably required
Participate in the school's performance management scheme
Undertake in-service training where required and share skills and expertise with colleagues
Contribute to the school's pastoral system
Observe and implement current school policies and best practice
Contribute to the overall ethos, work, and aims of the school
Carry out any other duties reasonably directed by the Headteacher
