Young Somerset is seeking to recruit Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners to start in September 2025.Join Our Growing Mental Health and Wellbeing Team at Young Somerset At Young Somerset, we value our people. As a trainee practitioner, you'll be joining a diverse and compassionate team delivering both clinical and non-clinical support to children, young people, and families across Somerset. You'll collaborate with schools, a wide range of partners, ensuring mental health services are accessible, inclusive, and impactful.About the Role
- As a Trainee EMHP, you will be trained to deliver low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (LI-CBT) to children, young people, and families, through both individual and group sessions in schools across Somerset.
- You'll play a key role in promoting the Whole School Approach to mental health, helping schools embed a culture of wellbeing.
- This role is part of a collaborative partnership with Somerset Foundation Trust CAMHS and is supported by Somerset Council's Educational Psychology Service. Training and Study
- You will undertake a nationally recognised training programme aligned with the National Low Intensity Curriculum.
- The academic component includes a mix of taught and self-study days (delivered in a hybrid model from either Exeter or Bristol).
