We're looking for a hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen and catering operation at Friends House. You'll play a key part in keeping the kitchen clean, safe and well organised, supporting the team during busy service periods, and making sure equipment and crockery are ready when needed. This is a physical, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in high standards and works well in a team. What you'll do

Wash and clean crockery, cutlery, equipment and kitchen areas to a high hygiene standard
Keep pot wash and back-of-house areas organised, clean and safe during service
Follow safe working practices, including COSHH guidance and manual handling
Support with deliveries, stock storage and waste/recycling as needed
Report faults, breakages or safety concerns promptly to the kitchen/BOH lead
Work flexibly across shifts, supporting the wider team when needed

Reliable and hardworking with a positive, team-focused attitude
Good awareness of cleanliness and hygiene standards (training provided if needed)
Able to work safely and follow instructions, including chemical safety
Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet for most of the shift
Punctual, flexible and able to work a rota (including early starts/late finishes and weekends)
