Shape the Future of UK Infrastructure with Walker Sime

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Suffolk (Major Infrastructure Projects - Power/Energy)

Walker Sime is growing - and we're looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our team in Suffolk, playing a key role in delivering one of the UK's largest and most ambitious infrastructure programmes.

This is a rare opportunity to get involved in a multi-billion-pound scheme, working under an NEC Option E collaborative framework. The scale of the programme is significant - spanning new substations and over 180km of overhead lines - and offers long-term involvement through to 2030 and beyond.

At Walker Sime, you'll be part of a people-first construction consultancy with a UK-wide presence and the backing of international investment. This gives us the strength and stability of a global group, while maintaining the collaborative, close-knit culture where every individual is recognised and valued.

We work alongside some of the most respected names across sectors including renewables, energy from waste, nuclear, transmission and distribution, defence, and water and utilities. Our trajectory is one of growth, and we're looking for exceptional professionals to join us on that journey. Here, there's no glass ceiling - your career progression is yours for the taking, supported by a highly skilled and collaborative team.

What we're looking for:

Senior Quantity Surveyors with experience in major infrastructure projects.

NEC contract experience (Options A, C, or ideally E).

Electricity transmission experience is a plus, but we will also consider candidates with strong backgrounds across other infrastructure sectors.

Team players who thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated to make a tangible impact.

What's on offer:

Long-term involvement in a landmark UK programme.

Hybrid working, with an expectation of around 1 day per week in Suffolk.

The opportunity to shape your career in a growing consultancy with national reach and international backing.

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

At Walker Sime, we know that diverse teams deliver the best results. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive - regardless of background, experience, or identity.

This is more than a project - it's your chance to help deliver the future of UK infrastructure while developing your career in a business that truly values your contribution.
