· Act as a member of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Team, responding to safeguarding and child protection concerns.
Maintain accurate safeguarding and child protection records in line with statutory guidance and local authority requirements.
Support safeguarding monitoring, reporting, and compliance across the school.
Deliver safeguarding and child protection training to staff.
Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social care, education, health, and support services.
Lead and coordinate Early Help support for families, including chairing meetings and reviews.
Support parents and carers in promoting pupil wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and educational engagement.
Provide direct family support, advice, advocacy, and signposting to relevant services.
Act as a key link between home and school, promoting positive relationships and effective communication.
Monitor pupil attendance, follow up absences, undertake welfare checks, and implement attendance improvement strategies.
Support pupils experiencing emotional, attendance, safeguarding, or transition-related difficulties.
Represent the voice of the child and advocate on behalf of pupils where appropriate.
Generate referrals and coordinate support from external professionals and agencies.
Conduct home visits where necessary to support pupils and families.
Maintain accurate records of meetings, interventions, and outcomes.
Review and evaluate support provided to pupils and families to ensure positive impact.
Contribute to safeguarding policy development and ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.
