Healthcare Assistant
Help us redefine what ageing can look like.
At Salveo Care, we believe growing older should never mean giving up the things that bring life meaning. We believe in supporting people to stay active, maintain their independence, remain connected to the people they love, and continue living with purpose.
We're a family-owned care provider with roots in our local community, and we're passionate about challenging perceptions of ageing. We believe care should enable living, not simply support people when they can no longer do things for themselves.
This is an exciting time to join us. While you'll initially be based at our well-established home Cherry Tree House, we're preparing to open Wendover Manor later this year, a brand-new, purpose-built and wellness-led care home that will create exciting opportunities for career progression and development as we continue to grow.
If you're looking for more than just your next job, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll be part of residents' everyday lives and often the person who can make the biggest difference to their day.
You'll provide personal care and practical support, but the role is about much more than that. It's taking the time to get to know someone, noticing when something isn't quite right, encouraging independence, sharing a laugh, helping someone take part in something they enjoy and making sure they feel genuinely at home.

You'll support residents with:

Personal care, mobility and everyday routines.
Eating and drinking.
Staying active, independent and involved in the things they enjoy.
Emotional wellbeing, companionship and meaningful interaction.
End-of-life care, where kindness, dignity and reassurance matter more than ever.
Making their own choices and continuing to live life in a way that feels right for them.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience is always welcome, but we can teach you the practical skills. What matters most to us is who you are. We're looking for people who are:

Genuinely kind and compassionate.
Reliable - our residents and your teammates need to be able to count on you.
Patient.
Positive and willing to get involved.
Good communicators and team players.
Passionate about helping older people live well.

More importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our values. Someone who believes older people deserve extraordinary lives and wants to be part of making that happen.

WHY SALVEO CARE?

We know there are lots of care providers you could work for. What makes us different isn't just our beautiful home or our exciting plans - it's our people and our purpose.
At Salveo Care, we're committed to creating a future where ageing is about living. We challenge ourselves to continually improve, not because we have to, but because it's the right thing to do for our residents, their families and each other.
When you join Salveo Care, you'll become part of a supportive, values-driven team that genuinely cares about helping people grow.

You'll benefit from:

Excellent opportunities for career progression, including exciting new roles as we prepare to open Wendover Manor later this year.
Ongoing training and leadership development to help you reach your potential.
Staff meals on shift.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering confidential wellbeing and support services.
Blue Light Card discounts.
Cycle to Work Scheme.
Team celebrations, social events and staff parties throughout the year.
Wellness initiatives that support your physical and mental wellbeing.
A supportive leadership team that listens, values your ideas and encourages continuous improvement.
The opportunity to make a genuine difference every single day.

If you're looking for a job where you can go home knowing you've genuinely made someone's day better, we'd love to hear from you.
