Full Job Description
Our Trust works closely with Brighton & Sussex Medical school and our hospital is an Associate teaching hospital leading to opportunities for both education and research. We pride ourselves on being innovative and focusing on quality and safety., We are looking for applicants with a wide experience in Acute and General Medicine who have excellent team-working skills with the abilities and professional skills to lead service developments in the Trust. We are keen to expand on our provision of bedside focused acute medical ultrasound with three in house FAMUS supervisors and FUSIC mentors and 1 BSE accredited supervisor so would welcome candidates with experience or those that are interested to develop this skill or consolidate existing experience. We have currently 3 state of the art Point of Care Ultrasound devices and 1 departmental Echocardiography device in Acute Medicine. We are keen to promote education and learning and provide a good educational experience to trainees and have been as top in the KSS region by Acute Internal Medicine Specialty trainees attached to us in the 2019 GMC Trainee survey. We would welcome those teaching skills and help support applications for honorary teaching posts at our associated
We provide emergency and non-emergency services to the residents of East Surrey, North-East West Sussex, and South Croydon, including the major towns of Crawley, Horsham, Reigate and Redhill; a community of over 535,000 people. We provide acute and complex services and a range of outpatient, diagnostic services whilst Crawley Hospital and Horsham in West Sussex and Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Health Centre in Surrey provide less complex planned services.
