You will be a registered with the HPCP and provide a service to adults in the community who have a learning disability and or Autism and who present with mental health needs or behavioural challenges. You will be the senior OT in the team and with support from the lead OT in the service will be encouraged to use OT model's of practice to complete specialist OT assessment, intervention and evaluation of service user progress. Your expertise will be used to support behavioural interventions, recovery plans and positive behaviour support planning. In addition to these direct clinical duties you will line manage the band 5 OT, support OT students and will play a significant part in the governance and development of the team. The working week will cover clinic appointments, community visits and close liaison with other colleagues across sectors e.g. colleges, social services etc
