We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Finance Analyst to join our finance team, initially for six months. You'll gain a real hands-on understanding of handling budgets, producing estimates, and working with spreadsheets. You will play a key role in supporting the Business Partners and Finance Analysts within the team. We need an ambitious person with a "can-do" attitude to work with colleagues as one team. What you will do

Assist the Accountancy team in budget monitoring, production of estimates, support service recharges, and final accounts.
Support financial processes through provision of information, entries to the financial system as directed by colleagues, and undertaking basic checks and reconciliations.

A good standard of education to GCSE level, along with an aptitude for numeracy and a genuine interest in managing finances.
Ideally you will be a member of or working towards qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians.
Experience using Microsoft Office software, especially Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to attend the Council office a minimum of three days per week as part of our hybrid working arrangements.
