Full Job Description
Identify and diagnose incidents and problems.
Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by phone or by email) in a timely manner and where required nationwide.
Advise team members of actions to take.
Categorise, record and regularly update queries and requests.
Install, maintain, upgrade, and decommission hardware, software, or network components.
Identify, log and triage potential security incidents as required.
Deal with both user & technical escalations.
Be a senior technical escalation point within the Service Desk support team.
Assist in the design, delivery, and improvement of IT Services with other IT teams.

We are seeking an experienced IT Support professional, ideally with a strong background in a 2nd Line Support role or similar-who is ready to take the next step in their career and join us as a Senior Technical Support Engineer at Bloor Homes Head Office in Measham, Swadlincote., Happy participating in a remote weekend on-call rota, typically covering one day per weekend when scheduled; not all weekends will require cover.
Experience with service operating systems and applications, including Windows 2008, 2012, 2016.
Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Proficient in the use of Windows 11 and Server operating systems.
Proven history of work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
Documenting and maintaining process and procedure information.
Certified in Microsoft Technology
College diploma in an IT field (such as Computer Science) or equivalent.
Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment and working knowledge of ITIL principals and processes.
Full UK Driving Licence
