Introduction

Yorkshire Precision Engineering in Keighley are looking to develop an apprentice to be an engineer within their quality department. The primary function of this role is to inspect various components from a variety of sectors, including oil & gas, medical, brewing, food, space and many more.

What You'll Do

You will learn how to use various different metrology equipment and inspection techniques along the way. This is a hands-on role that allows the apprentice technician to see all different aspects of machining and at the end of the apprenticeship, will be a fully trained quality Inspector.

Responsibilities are :

First off & last off checks
Patrol inspections
Inspecting batches of components
Occasionally documenting reports (something to grow into)
Programming CMM & Keyence (something to grow into)
Liaising with machinists to ensure Part compliance
Visual inspection of deburring
Ensuring SOPs for products are completed
