Shift Pattern: Shift work is required and is a mixture of morning, days, afternoons, and nights.Salary: £59,301.72 (inclusive of shift premiums and contractual overtime) + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!Championing diversity and inclusion is so important to us; when we embrace different perspectives and give everyone the chance to be the best they can be, we can think in new, creative ways that grow and enhance our business.Position SummaryReporting to the Asset Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the Distribution Centre asset maintenance programme aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity.This includes the repairing, reporting and analysis of unplanned technical failures, and the execution of planned and scheduled maintenance. Provide technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses, including coaching and/or participating in problem solving, implementing solutions, sharing knowledge, building competence.A day in the life of a Maintenance Engineer - Distribution CentreAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will participate in the implementation and execution of the asset maintenance programme, aimed to eliminate unplanned stops, and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity.Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses, including coaching and/or participating in problem solving, implementing solutions, sharing knowledge, building competence
  • Providing input for annual maintenance budget. Reporting and tracking of the maintenance work order costs.
  • Support warehouse team to eliminate defects, safety risks and chronic technical issues by innovative solutions.
  • Lead and participate in breakdown analysis
  • Actively participate in maintenance routines to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and executed in time with high quality, maintenance.     Strong Problem Solving and Fault Diagnosis skills are essential as well as previous knowledge of a Computerised Maintenance Management System.
  • You will be a team player with a real drive for continuous improvement and development.
  • What will make you successfulThe Successful Applicant:
  • Will have an NVQ Level 3 and National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, as well as a time served apprenticeship (please ensure detailed on CV)
  • Ideally you will be dual trained (mechanical and electrical) with proven experience in manufacturing - food industry experience is preferable.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • Experience in Installation and inspection and Testing e.g minor works training or City and Guilds
