Lichfield District Council is building something from the ground up. We're looking for an experienced Interim who has built or transformed a housing management function within a Registered Provider/social housing environment. This isn't a role where you'll inherit a housing service. You'll build one.

About the role:

Lichfield District Council is a Registered Provider expanding its role as a provider of affordable rented homes. For the first time, the Council will directly own and manage a growing portfolio of general needs homes, alongside its existing temporary accommodation. We are entering an exciting new chapter. As a Registered Provider, this brings a significant opportunity and responsibility.

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for an exceptional Housing Management Implementation Manager to lead the design and implementation of a modern, compliant, and financially sustainable housing management function from the ground up. You'll lead the development and implementation of the Council's landlord functions, ensuring that the service is:

Compliant

Customer-focused

Financially sustainable

Operationally effective

Fit for the future

Key Responsibilities

You will need significant experience within a Registered Provider, Local authority, or social/affordable housing environment, with a proven track record of establishing, redesigning, or transforming housing management services. You'll bring substantial experience of:

Managing social or affordable housing

Establishing or redesigning housing management services

Housing policies and procedures

Tenancy management

Housing management systems

Landlord and tenant legislation

Financial modelling and service budgets

Complex cross-service projects

Organisational change

Working with Legal, Finance and Property professionals
