ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you have experience of delivering care in a residential or family setting? Do you prefer to work nights? Our care teams make a real difference every day and your professionalism, teamed with kindness and compassion, will be at the core of everything you do. Leading a team of carers, you'll be responsible for keeping wakeful watch on the security and safety of our residents and the home in general. Whether it's helping residents with their night-time routines or personal care, providing companionship, supporting with light household duties or administering medication, you'll play a vital role in ensuring they are leading happy and fulfilled lives. In joining us, you'll also become part of our extended family. You'll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our schemes. Located in the delightful village of Charlton Kings, on the eastern edge of Cheltenham lies Grevill House and Ashley Intermediate Care Centre. Built in attractive Cotswold stone, the home offers compassionate and personalised nursing, residential, respite and intermediate care to 50 residents in Grevill House and 15 residents at Ashley Intermediate Care Centre.
AND IN RETURN
The Trust is a great place to work; we've been providing care for almost 1,000 years and we're currently the second largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. Not-for-profit means that we reinvest every penny we make into our residents, colleagues and the care homes we live and work in. Therefore, we offer a great range of benefits, including a competitive salary, training and development. Here are some of the other benefits you'll enjoy as a valued member of our team:
- 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
- A workplace pension
- Free uniform
- Free DBS
- Higher rates of pay at weekends
- Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
- Refer a Friend scheme rewarding you up to £1000 for every recommendation you make who successfully starts working for us
- Care Worker Charity membership for well being and financial aid
- Blue Light card and "My Rewards" programme, offering you discounts on shopping, days out, restaurants and much more
ABOUT YOU
You'll have strong experience as a carer in a care setting with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner. You might have previous supervisory experience, like delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters and 1 to 1s but this is not essential. What is important is you are a positive role model, with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive individual, able to motivate others to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times. Alongside being confident taking charge and being able to use your own initiative to resolve problems and deal with queries. If you think you have the right skills and attitude to deliver the highest quality of care for our residents as a Night Lead within our care homes, then you could be the next to join us. So, apply and get your career started with us today. We reserve the right to close this role before the closing date, with no advance notice. We do encourage you to complete an application as soon as possible if interested.
