Full Job Description

We are excited to announce that we are now looking to recruit three Pastoral Tutors to join our supportive and passionate Pastoral team. These are full-time, term-time only positions (39 weeks), reporting to the Programme Achievement Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people by guiding and supporting them through their academic journey.

Responsibilities

As a Pastoral Tutor, you will deliver weekly tutorial sessions to your assigned cohort, focusing on personal development, safeguarding, and academic progress. You will monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour and achievement, providing one-to-one reviews and appropriate intervention support.

You'll act as a key point of contact for students encountering challenges both inside and outside of college. The role also involves working closely with parents, support staff, teachers, and external agencies to ensure students receive the right guidance and support at the right time.

You will also contribute to college events, enrolment, careers support, and exam preparation, playing an essential role in each student's journey.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We're looking for individuals who are committed to student wellbeing and personal development. You should have:

· GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

· Experience working with young people in an educational setting

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
