Full time Deputy Headteacher Salary range: between 69964 and 77051 Pay details: L14-L18 Start date: September 2025 or as soon as possible We are seeking to appoint an outstanding school leader who will lead the development of high quality individualised care and learning to ensure continuing high standards in all areas of school life. We are looking for a school leader who can form quality relationships for learning with all staff and students. You will bring creativity and innovation to developing a curriculum that meets individual needs and be able to oversee the development of provision that gives flexibility across key stages and subjects. The new member to our Senior Leadership team will bring an engaging personality and a sense of tenacity to the role of Deputy Headteacher. Key Requirements:

  • Be an outstanding leader
  • Have a sophisticated understanding of school improvement, teaching and learning.
  • Have an up to date understanding of curriculum design and innovation and be able to lead further developments that will personalise the learning for all students.
  • Have a proven track record in self-evaluation and professional learning.
  • Have substantial recent experience in school leadership, including leading whole school developments.
  • Be committed to the concept of 'Every Child Matters' and 'Learning Outside the Classroom'.
  • Be an innovative, independent and strategic thinker with vision and fresh ideas.
  • Be willing to contribute to our wide and varied programme of curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Closing date: 10/07/2025 12:00:00 Interview date: Thursday 17th July 2025 Pinewood is a very successful mixed secondary school for 159 pupils with 'Moderate Learning Difficulties'. The school is located in a very attractive rural area of extensive, landscaped woodland within walking distance of Ware Town.
