We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Director of Music to lead Badminton's flourishing Music department. Main responsibilities include:

To have overall responsibility for leading and managing the Music Department, and for the development of music throughout the school
Ensure Music is taught in an interesting and challenging manner, enabling each pupil to realise her potential
Enable a 'music for all' mentality and work closely with colleagues, including Pastoral Heads and SEND staff to facilitate this
Ensure a full, varied and stimulating extra-curricular timetable
Develop appropriate specifications, materials and schemes of work
Contribute to the teaching of the department as set out in the timetable

Strong practical musician with high standard of piano expertise and the ability to offer several musical specialisms
Able to conduct and lead instrumental ensembles and choirs to a high standard
Excellent team leader with the ability to motivate others and delegate effectively
Excellent subject knowledge
