Full Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic Therapist with demonstrable experience and knowledge of providing care to people with a specialist palliative care need?
We are looking for an experienced Therapist to provide therapy assessment, treatment and on-going management to a wide range of patients with a palliative diagnosis. You will need to be a Registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 18 months post qualification experience.
In March 2023, St Elizabeth Hospice merged with East Coast Hospice to form St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice, with all service provision in Great Yarmouth and Waveney coming under the St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice name.
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with patients with a range of conditions, within different settings relevant to palliative rehabilitation and care.
This is an exciting time for St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice, as we are developing an achievable and sustainable palliative and end of life care service for the residents of Great Yarmouth and Waveney. Its a time of expansion, development and investment in the Hospice Team. We are offering an opportunity to be part of the Therapy Team working within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to see patients in various settings e.g. Community, Community Care Unit outpatients, and within our Inpatients beds. This is a chance to make a real difference to peoples lives.
The hospice offers a generous benefit package, including:
27 days annual leave entitlement
Pension scheme
Life Cover
Cycle to Work Scheme
Car Leasing Scheme
Health Service Discounts
Occupational Sick Pay
Blue Light Card
Employee Assistance Programme
St Elizabeth Hospice is committed to safeguarding and protecting the adults and young people that we work with and has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect and discrimination of any person. As such, all posts are subject to a rigorous safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We have a range of robust safeguarding policies in place which promote safeguarding across the hospice and staff are expected to undertake regular, mandatory safeguarding training to equip them with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to potential risks.
