Introduction

In this role you will have the opportunity to develop the practical skills and knowledge required to work as a fabrication/ welding apprentice. You will support the workshop team in producing high-quality fabricated and welded components, primarily in stainless steel, while working towards achieving a level 2 apprenticeship qualification.

What You'll Do

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at MENA engineering as an apprentice Fabricator/Welder. In the role the key responsibilities will develop to include:

Assisting in the fabrication and welding components using a range of materials but primarily stainless steel.
Learn and apply basic welding techniques (e.g. MIG, TIG, MMA) under supervision.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Prepare materials for fabrication, including cutting, grinding and finishing.
Set up and use workshop tools and equipment safely.
Carry out basic assembly of fabricated components.
Inspect work to ensure it meets required quality standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies.
Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
