Young People Support Worker

At Depaul UK, you will support young people aged 18 to 25 who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment and work alongside each young person as they plan their next steps.

You will:

· Act as a key worker, building trusted relationships and providing practical and emotional support.

· Complete needs and risk assessments and develop support plans with clear, achievable goals.

· Help young people build independent living skills and access education, training, employment and volunteering.

· Respond to safeguarding concerns and work with partner agencies to support young people's wellbeing.

· Support residents moving into the service and encourage them to have a say in decisions that affect them., Please note we're not responsible for the content of job ads, as they're posted by the recruiter. You will have experience supporting young people or people who have experienced homelessness. You will understand some of the challenges associated with poor mental health and substance misuse, and know how to maintain professional boundaries while offering compassionate support.

You will also bring good communication and IT skills, an understanding of safeguarding, and a commitment to treating everyone with dignity and respect. In your application, please address the person specification and give examples of your relevant experience.
