Full Job Description
Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking a committed Youth Offending Service (YOS) Officer to support children, young people, families and caregivers, with the aim of reducing offending and preventing reoffending.
You'll work across the Youth Justice Service and wider Trust to ensure young people access the right interventions, build a pro-social identity and recover from trauma.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored support to children and young people at risk of offending or reoffending
Work collaboratively across the Youth Justice Service and partner agencies
Ensure access to effective, evidence-based interventions
Support young people in developing positive behaviours, resilience and future aspirations
Engage families and caregivers to strengthen protective factors
Maintain accurate case records and contribute to multi-agency planning
Experience working with children and young people in a youth justice, social care or safeguarding setting
Strong understanding of risk, trauma, and behaviour-change approaches
Confident working with multi-agency partners
Skilled in engagement, communication and building trust with young people
