Year 4 Teaching Assistant - Year 4

Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a two-form entry primary school in Salford with a fantastic reputation and is easily accessible via public transport as they require an experience and reliable teaching assistant to join the year 4 class on a full-time temporary basis.
This is an extremely rewarding position where you will join the school on a long-term temporary basis and play an integral role in the emotional well-being and education of a pupil within the year 4 class. This position has an immediate start available and subject to funding will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting a year 4 pupil with SEMH on a 1:1 basis that is in the main classroom. You pupil has been subject to significant trauma so the ability to build a strong constructive relationship and use a trauma-informed approach is imperative. You will:
+ Support pupils social, emotional and well-being development
+ Providing self-esteem, emotional awareness and coping strategies/support
+ Build strong constructive relationships with pupils to promote well-being and attendance
+ Working in partnership with the SENCO
+ Maintain accurate pupil records to track progress and emotional development
+ Integrate into new pupil groups
+ Implement an array of positive behaviour strategies

+ Full "Right to Work" in the UK
+ Experience supporting SEMH and a strong understanding of behaviours and emotional well-being
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ An Enhanced Children's DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
+ A minimum of 40-days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years
