Your Role as a Year 2 Class Teacher As a Year 2 Class Teacher in Hemel Hempstead, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities, including SEN pupils
• Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and parents
• Prepare pupils for transition into Key Stage 2
  
  Has experience teaching KS1, ideally as a Year 2 Class Teacher
• Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
• Has a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
• Can effectively support children with SEN, including ASD and speech & language needs
• Is creative, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications Required
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Experience working as a Year 2 Class Teacher or within KS1
• Relevant degree in education or subject specialism
