Your Role as a Year 2 Class Teacher As a Year 2 Class Teacher in Hemel Hempstead, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities, including SEN pupils
- Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and parents
- Prepare pupils for transition into Key Stage 2
Has experience teaching KS1, ideally as a Year 2 Class Teacher - Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills
- Has a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
- Can effectively support children with SEN, including ASD and speech & language needs
- Is creative, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills Qualifications Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience working as a Year 2 Class Teacher or within KS1
- Relevant degree in education or subject specialism
