Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Cardiff from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children in the early stages of their education.,
- Supporting the class teacher within a Year 1 classroom
- Working with small groups and providing 1:1 support where required
- Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and early numeracy
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting - A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in supporting early years and Key Stage 1 development
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures (training can be provided) What We Offer:
