The Role

• Be concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting goods in a safe, timely manner


• Transport goods securely to areas where they are needed


• Tug master qualification desirable


• Patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations


• Ability to work well under pressure


• Ability to operate and control equipment license


• Inspect the vehicles and perform basic support undertakings like refuelling, air pressures, oil levels, coolant etc


• Recognise electrical or mechanical faults in the vehicles and report to the relevant Supervisor


• Ensure the vehicles are kept clean and tidy both inside and out


• Precisely complete all paperwork connected with conveyance of the goods


• Guarantee that goods are protected and secured


• Report any instance of mishap or accident to the Manager


• Dress professionally and in accordance with company dress code ensuring you wear the correct PPE (boots, gloves, visor, face mask, hard hat)

Essential Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Required

• Customer Focused


• Valid C+E licence and DCPC qualification + Digital Tachograph


• Excellent Communication Skills


• High physical strength


• Ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative


• Ability to work as part of a team


• Safety Conscious


• Focused, confident, and observant

• Must be over the age of 18


• Flexible to cover other shift patterns when required
