Workshop Operative

We're looking for a Workshop Operative to become a hands-on part of our operation. This isn't a job where you'll necessarily stand in the same place doing the same task every day. We're looking for capable, adaptable people who can work across different areas of the business, learn quickly, think for themselves and get things done. What you'll be doing Your work will vary depending on what the business needs and where your skills are best suited. On different days, you could be:

• Testing mobile phones and checking their functionality
• Assessing and grading the condition and quality of devices
• Working alongside our technicians in the refurbishment and repair workshop
• Helping prepare devices and components for different stages of refurbishment
• Booking products into our computer systems
• Receiving, checking, sorting and organising stock
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Using scanners, tablets and computer systems to update stock and order information
• Moving products between different operational departments
• Checking work for quality and identifying problems
• Supporting different teams to achieve daily targets
• Helping keep work areas organised, efficient and safe
