Works Manager

We are seeking an experienced Works Manager to lead our project delivery team at Lower Thames Crossing. You will oversee site operations, primarily focusing on bulk earthworks, and ensure the effective management of sub-contractors and staff.
What you'll be doing
Leadership: Direct and lead the site based project teamSite Operations: Manage bulk earthworks and logisticsDocumentation: Maintain site diaries and allocation sheetsResource Management: Monitor labour and resourcesConstruction Oversight: Review drawings, develop method statements, and ensure compliance.Coordination: Plan and execute work with Senior Management and Engineering teamsHealth & Safety: Ensure compliance with policies and proceduresPlanning Assistance: Collaborate on detailed planning sessionsQuality Assurance: Ensure adherence to construction methods and ITPs

Experience managing multiple foremen and sub-contractor gangsKnowledge of material usage, machine matching, and Series 600 Specification for Highway WorksEffective use of GPS machine guidanceAbility to work to a 3-week programmeUnderstanding of quality requirements and ITP adherenceProfessional interaction with Client representativesLeadership and visibility on siteSMSTS qualification and CSCS Gold CardMinimum 10 years in the industry, with 5 years in a supervisory role
