Full Job Description

This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role that supports IPS services with recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and training. The Workforce Lead will work directly with services to overcome workforce challenges, coordinate recruitment activity, support workforce development initiatives and help services expand successfully in line with local and national priorities.,

  • Support recruitment for IPS Employment Specialists and Team Leaders.
  • Work with providers to understand workforce needs and develop tailored recruitment approaches.
  • Assist with shortlisting, interviews, assessment activities and hiring recommendations.
  • Help services plan recruitment activity where funding, approvals or expansion plans are still being finalised.
  • Identify opportunities for services to collaborate on recruitment activity and share best practice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IPS services, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), NHS England Regional Leads and other stakeholders.
  • Work with regional teams and colleagues to identify barriers and coordinate practical workforce support.
  • Contribute to regional and national workforce development meetings, sharing insights and learning.
  • Ensure recruitment, onboarding and training activities align with IPS Grow quality standards.
  • Collect, analyse and report workforce data to demonstrate impact and support decision-making.

    Experience in recruitment, workforce development or talent attraction.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • A practical, solution-focused approach to addressing workforce challenges.
  • Confidence supporting recruitment processes, including shortlisting, interviewing and assessment activities.
  • Experience within employment support, healthcare or a related sector would be advantageous.
  • Ability to analyse and use workforce data to support service development and improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively across a geographically dispersed region.
  • A willingness to travel across the North of England as required.
