Work Experience: Engineering M / F

Our Wolverhampton work experience programme is aimed at Year 10 and Sixth Form students who would like to gain experience within an aerospace environment. Placements last for one week. Available placement weeks

• 10-14 May 2027 - Year 10
• 14-18 June 2027 - Sixth Form
• 12-16 July 2027 - Year 10
Please note that, due to other business requirements, we are only able to offer placements during the dates listed above. What will you experience? Discover the exciting world of aerospace engineering and manufacturing. You'll gain exposure to real-world engineering and problem-solving, exploring technical areas such as systems, performance, materials and mechanical engineering. You'll take part in practical challenges, learn more about how actuation systems work and meet experienced Safran employees who can share insights into their roles and career journeys. You'll also explore how engineering ideas are developed into real aerospace products. This pathway is particularly suited to students who enjoy practical challenges, are curious about how things work and want to explore future opportunities within engineering, manufacturing or STEM. We expect to provide applicants with an update and details of any next stages in the application process in the new year. We know that some students may be put off applying if they don't have previous experience or aren't sure exactly what career they want to pursue. You don't need to have everything figured out.
