Work Experience: Business

Our Wolverhampton work experience programme is aimed at Year 10 and Sixth Form students who would like to gain experience within an aerospace business environment. Placements last for one week. Available placement weeks

• 10-14 May 2027 - Year 10
• 14-18 June 2027 - Sixth Form
• 12-16 July 2027 - Year 10
Please note that, due to other business requirements, we are only able to offer placements during the dates listed above. What will you experience? Discover how a leading aerospace and manufacturing company operates behind the scenes. You'll explore different areas of the business, including functions such as Finance, Supply Chain and Operations, and gain an understanding of how different teams work together to support a global aerospace organisation. Through interactive activities, group exercises and a CV workshop, you'll have opportunities to develop professional skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving and employability skills. You'll also meet Safran employees, hear about their career journeys and discover the variety of careers available within the company. This pathway is particularly suited to students who are curious about how businesses work, want to explore different career options and would like to build their confidence before entering the world of work. But what else? (benefits, specificities, etc.), Page 1 should act as your supporting statement/cover letter, followed by your CV on the remaining pages. We expect to provide applicants with an update and details of any next stages in the application process in the new year. We know that some students may be put off applying if they don't have previous experience or aren't sure exactly what career they want to pursue. You don't need to have everything figured out.
