Job Summary

Westholme School is looking to recruit an excellent musician to fill the post of Woodwind Teacher.

The successful candidate will teach individual lessons on clarinet and saxophone, and the ability to

deliver double reed lessons would be an advantage. Peripatetic staff at Westholme prepare pupils for

regular Trinity music exams, encourage their pupils to participate in ensembles, and proactively

promote their instruments to encourage recruitment of new instrumentalists.

Peripatetic music staff at Westholme are self-employed but follow an agreed pricing structure,

currently £39 p/hour for 10 weeks each term, with extra fees for running co-curricular clubs or

participating in concerts.

Westholme School has a vibrant musical life, with junior and senior school orchestras, choirs, and a

range of further ensembles which perform a variety of musical styles.
