WOME Engineer - SC cleared

This position is based in Bristol, with a flexible hybrid working model, requiring 2 to 3 days onsite each week, plus occasional attendance at trials across the UK. The role runs until 30 September 2026, with potential for extension beyond that date., You will provide essential Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions & Explosives (WOME) engineering support, focusing on dismounted close combat and defence general munitions. Your key responsibilities include:

• Assurance of new ammunition to ensure safety compliance
• Gathering vital technical data for introduction to service
• Submitting safety and introduction paperwork, such as ASHE documentation
  
  The ideal candidate will have proven experience in:
• Ammunition and light-weapon assurance
• Introducing WOME to service settings
• Attending trials within the UK Additionally
• Hold a minimum of SC security clearance.
• Experience with the CADMID cycle, specifically the manufacture and in-service phases, is highly desirable.
Desirable qualifications include:
• A Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics (STEM) qualification at RQF Level 4 or above (such as HNC)
• Professional registration such as IEng, CEng, RSci, or CSci through a relevant professional body
