Job Description:


In this rewarding role, you will provide contact, primarily by telephone, to victims and witnesses of crime; offering support and guidance as you work to increase the level of witness attendance at court. Confident working on your own initiative, you will be completing administrative tasks in order to ensure the efficient management of each case.


Experience of working in a customer-focused role with strong interpersonal skills is essential, together with the ability to effectively negotiate and persuade with a wide range of people. You will be comfortable working both alone and within a team, without close supervision, whilst maintaining a professional manner and must be IT literate in Microsoft Office packages.


The working pattern is attached. If you are a permanent member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
