Full Job Description
Read and interpret technical blueprints and design specifications.
Measure, cut, drill, and shape materials such as aluminium, uPVC, wood, and glass.
Operate machinery and hand tools, including CNC equipment.
Assemble window and door frames, conservatory panels, screens, and fittings (hinges, locks, seals).
Install or fit glass panels into frames and apply weather seals or putty.
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
Repair or replace faulty components and adjust assemblies as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow safety proto
Coordinate with team members to meet production targets and document production processes.
Strong measuring, cutting, and material-handling skills.
Ability to operate and maintain fabrication tools and machinery.
Knowledge of building and construction principles.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Physical stamina for handling heavy materials and repetitive tasks.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
No formal academic requirements for entry-level roles.
Apprenticeships in fenestration fabrication, glazing installation, or manufacturing are common pathways.
Experience in general manufacturing, joinery, or window fitting is beneficial.
