Introduction

At Camira, we're offering the opportunity to begin a structured 5-year career pathway designed to develop the next generation of textile manufacturing and engineering professionals.

You'll start by completing a Textile Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience within our Winding department.

What You'll Do

  • Operate winding machines to rewind yarn onto cones and packages.
  • Monitor yarn tension and quality throughout the winding process.
  • Identify and resolve minor faults such as yarn breaks.
  • Record production information accurately and report any issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Follow quality, environmental and health & safety standards at all times.


Training Outcome

After completion of the TMO qualification, the applicant will progress onto an Engineering Qualification.

Course: Textile manufacturing operative (level 2)

Route: Engineering and manufacturing

Apprenticeship Level: Intermediate



Working Arrangements

Working Week: 37.5 hrs per week, Shift pattern 06:00 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 22:00 Monday – Friday.

Expected Duration: 1 Year 6 Months
