Full Job Description

Using the guiding principles of a Recovery College together with professional knowledge and expertise: take a lead role in co-production, delivery, review and evaluation of the curriculum, inclusive of both the courses and service delivery model

Provide empowering, visible and effective leadership within the College, supporting the Manager to supervise, mentor , develop, induct and support team members as required

Actively seek opportunities in local and national areas to promote and develop the Recovery College and the AHP role

Analyse and evaluate the impact of the College via student outcome measures, prepare termly and annual data reports/audits

Take part in recruitment and retention

Source health professionals / experts by lived experience to be involved with the co-production and delivery of the college curriculum, providing development and training opportunities to those supporting the College including volunteers

Adhere to HCPC code of professional conduct and ethics, plus associated legislation

Provide AHP student placement opportunities within the College to meet CPD standards

Attend promotional events inclusive of delivering presentations and workshops both within LPFT and externally to increase awareness and understanding of the Colleges offer

The post holder will be registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), hold a teaching or training qualification of level 3 or above (or be committed to complete the qualification once appointed). Having your own lived experience of mental health challenges is desirable.

The Wellbeing & Recovery College is seeking an experienced, recovery focused AHP who is passionate about co-production and understands the value and benefit of an educational approach to support mental health and wellbeing.

The Lincolnshire Wellbeing and Recovery College provides free educational courses focused on mental health and wellbeing. The College provides a safe space for those wanting to learn about improving wellbeing and living well with mental health.

The College has a focus on empowerment, self-management and fostering a sense of hope, control and opportunity. The courses are created by people with their own lived experience of mental health challenges alongside healthcare professionals. Students gain an understanding of mental health, support recovery, gain skills and strategies to live well, and make connections with others. Courses are available both in person across Lincolnshire and online for anyone aged 16 and over., Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health services and a number of learning disability, autism and social care services in the county of Lincolnshire.
