You will work closely with the Wellbeing Manager to help provide independence and improved quality of life for our residents. You will provide a holistic wellbeing programme to improve the physical, psychological, spiritual, social and recreational wellbeing of service users. This will involve the coordination of a range of wellbeing activities tailored to meet individual needs, delivering and leading therapeutic and wellness activities under the direction of the Wellbeing Manager. You will establish and maintain a supportive and therapeutic relationships with service users, adapting communication styles appropriately to overcome barriers to understanding and participation, particularly when service users are confused, anxious or depressed. Support service users who have impaired cognitive functioning and assist them to maintain maximum levels of independence.

The Lodge is a specialist nursing and care home dedicated to supporting individuals living with dementia and the unique challenges they face. Nestled within the tranquil Buckshaw Retirement Village near Chorley, our home is designed to provide a compassionate and supportive environment.

The HICA Group are a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and caring person to join our Health & Wellbeing team. This role is for 20 hours per week providing cover on a rota basis including some weekend and evening working.

Pay & Hours:

Rate of Pay: £12.22 per hour
Hours of Work: 20 hours per week
Shift Pattern: - Working a rota covering 7 days per week (Every other weekend)
