Wellbeing Advisers

This full-time role provides an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the delivery of Royal Holloway's wellbeing and experience offering through the delivery of in-person support to students to benefit their mental health and wellbeing. The Directorate of Student Life includes a broad range of student facing teams who are core to the student journey: Active Lifestyle & Sport, Careers, Chaplaincy, Counselling & Mental Health, Disability & Neurodiversity, Hall Life, International & Money Advice, Student Casework, Student Engagement & Insights, and Wellbeing Support.
Reporting to the Head of Wellbeing Support they will contribute to the work of the Directorate and support the strategy and aims of the University and Student Journey Division. Role holders will be expected to demonstrate our University values - being Daring, Innovative, Open and Respectful - in their work and be a champion of equality, diversity and inclusion.
They will be required to engage proactively and supportively with students on a wide range of mental health and wellbeing support needs, putting in place appropriate support and advice to enable students to thrive on their academic and personal university journey. Wellbeing Advisers also have a role to play in delivering psycho-educational workshops and presentations to students and staff and to support all aspects of the student journey.
We are seeking candidates who are student centred and proactive and who understand the boundaries of university provided support. Candidates should have experience of managing challenging cases and the skills to balance the demands of a fast-paced role in a dynamic environment.
With roles in Student Life there is a need for mainly campus-based working to enable in-person student appointments, based on student preference and need, but there will be some opportunity for working remotely each week

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the University is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
