Introduction
Work alongside experienced professionals as a Welding Apprentice focused on learning skills and techniques required in the trade. Assist with metal fabrication, preparing materials and equipment and develop knowledge of different welding methods. The role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to build practical experience.
About the Employer
We are a construction contractor that work with our clients to install piles that act as part of building foundations.
With our fleet of continuous flight auger CFA, rotary bored and driven rigs of various sizes we can cater for most piling and retaining wall needs. Our team’s technical, logistical and operational strengths provide clients with a flexible and reliable solution to their foundation needs across England and Wales. We pride ourselves on understanding the environment within which we work and being a responsible contractor.
What You'll Do
The individual will be required to build and maintain our piling equipment using the welding skills that they acquire. On site Welding supervisor will aid with instructions and guidance regarding the repairs and help the individual when required.
As you progress, you may be asked to help on more tasking jobs and help fabricated some of our equipment.
Once fully qualified, further qualifications are a potential as you progress with Central Piling.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Hard facing
- Equipment repair
- House keeping
- Fabrication
- Slinging equipment
Training Outcome
Once qualified and you have been with us for a while the option to become a coded welder will become an option.

- Essential - GCSE - maths and English - 9-2/A*-E

Working Arrangements
Working Week: Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. Morning lunch break 10:00am - 10:22am and another afternoon lunch break at 1:00pm - 1:30pm.
