Full Job Description
Introduction
Learn to weld (MIG, TIG and MMA) and fabricate specialist height safety equipment with a team boasting 50+ years' combined experience. Hands-on training from day one, in a close-knit company where your skills and career will genuinely grow.
About the Employer
Introland Ltd has been keeping people safe at height since 1981. We install and maintain specialist safety systems – fixed ladders, guardrail, BMUs and more – on rooftops across London and the South-East. We're family-run, hands-on, and genuinely invested in the people who work here. If you want to learn a trade properly, from people who know it inside out, this is the place.
What You'll Do
- Learning MIG, TIG and MMA welding techniques under the guidance of experienced fabricators
- Welding, fabrication and manufacture of components, including occasional on-site work
- Reading and working from drawings and cutting lists, then bringing them to life in the workshop
- Cutting raw materials, drilling, punching and plasma cutting
- Preparing and finishing fabricated items to a high standard, making sure jobs are goods-out ready on time
- Forklift operation (training provided), plus collection and delivery of items from suppliers
- Weekly PUWER inspections on workshop equipment and monitoring stock of welding consumables
Training Outcome
Complete the apprenticeship and there's a permanent Welder/Fabricator role waiting. We promote from within and support ongoing development – this is a long-term career, not just a qualification.
